I am starting a new series comprised of random questionnaire I found on Facebook. I no longer have a personal Facebook. The one I use mainly is associated with my Instagram account which is for my hobby. Thus I have no one to share these with, lol.
- Do you put ketchup on hot dogs? Yes, this is a must. I love Chicago dogs, those are my favorite. But if I made it at home, I’m usually good with just ketchup and relish.
- Choice of Soda? Right now, I’ve been obsessed with Brisk Iced Tea but usually my preference is Sprite.
- Do you put salt on your watermelon? Hell no. Mexican people love taijin on their watermelon so I tried it and I don’t understand the fuss. I think it makes sense if watermelon is a little tart. I do put salt on my pineapples though.
- Can you swim? Unfortunately no. Ever since I was young, I’ve always had this fear of water and so I never learned. But I love being around water.
- Hot dogs or burgers? Burgers just because they are more fulfilling. Like I can eat one burger and be satisfied but I need to eat at least two hot dogs.
- Favorite type of food? I love Southeast Asian food like Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches and the Lao version of sweet sticky rice with various dipping sauces.
- Do you believe in ghosts? Not really. I enjoy listening to ghost stories but I don’t really believe.
- Do you drink coffee? Yes, I do. A lot of time that’s the only thing I have in my system until the afternoon. But there are other times when I forget to drink coffee too so I don’t think I’m that dependent on it.
- Can you do 100 push ups? No.
- Favorite season? It would have to be Fall. I have a lot of good memories associated with that season, from going to the apple orchard, to trick-or-treating, to school dances.
- Your favorite animal? Elephant. I used to collect elephant stuffed animals and figurines.
- Tattoos? None. It’s just too permanent for me.
- Do you wear glasses? Yes, since high school. I remember being in class and always wanting to sit in front so I could see the blackboard. Then my mom finally took me to get an eye exam and it turned out, I needed glasses.
- Do you have a phobia? It always thought it was solitude. Like I was afraid of being alone but the reality is that I have FOMO (fear of missing out). I used to have dreams where everyone is missing (doing something super fun somewhere without me) and I’m all alone. That feeling I got felt gut-wrenching. However, I actually prefer solitude as I’ve gotten older and grown more introverted.
- Do you have a nickname? Not really.
- Rain or Snow? Definitely rain over snow. But I love the kind of rain you get when it’s still sunny. Those are so beautiful.
- Can you change a tire? No, I most likely cannot.
- Favorite flower? I really don’t have a flower that when others see it, they automatically think of me. For example, my mother loves orchid and whenever I see them, I think of her. My mother had this flowering tree that I loved. It grew these peach pink little flowers. When I visited her recently, I asked her about it and she told me she got rid of it and replaced it with a similar tree with white flowers. So sad.
- Can you drive a stick? No. Just driving an automatic itself is already nerve-racking for me. I can’t think about driving stick. My husband’s car is manual so I got away with not having to drive, lol.
- Ever go sky diving? No. I don’t have enough guts to. The adrenaline would be too overwhelming for me.
- Kids? No, but I really want them.
- Favorite color? Teal, mint, turquoise – in this color family.
- Can you whistle? Not on purpose, lol.
- Surgeries? Maybe 1? My lower lashes poked my eyeball and would produced tears so I got surgery to remove a layer near my eye so that my lashes go outward and not into my eyeball.
- Shower or bath? Bath every single day. I love soaking in hot water. I only shower to wash my hair (every other day).
- Last song you listened to? A cover of Already Gone by Kelly Clarkson.
- Broken bones? No. I’m too afraid of doing anything too rough that would cause this.
- How many TVs in your house? We used to have 2. One in the living room and one in our bedroom but we rarely use the one in the bedroom so we removed it to give ourselves more space.
- Do you like to sing? I sing ALL THE TIME!
- Are your parents still alive? Yes! I feel very fortunate.
- Do you like to go camping? I’m not really an outdoors girl but I do enjoy camping. I guess it helps that my husband is a big outdoors person. I’m only in charge of food.
- What do you binge watch? Asian dramas.
- Pumpkin or Pecan? Pumpkin cheesecake please!
