Black Friday Shopping 2021

I did a lot of shopping this year for Black Friday. Most of my purchases were for myself and some were Christmas gifts. Prior to Black Friday, my husband and I had a list of what we want to get. The list included a Roku, keyless door lock, and a laptop for my husband. We got everything on the list and then some.

My Purchases

I made around 7 separate Shein orders. A lot of the orders were for clothes for myself and some of the orders were for Christmas gifts for others. The clothes I got for myself, I probably returned at least 90% of them. I’m currently in between sizes and some outfits look great on the model but fail on me. I kept very little and it probably wasn’t under my 5th order that I finally got clothes that looked great on me.

I made around 9 Aliexpress orders. They were mostly stationery and makeup. For stationery, I needed to re-order some freebies for my eBay listings. For the makeup, I have recently been obsessed with matte lipsticks/lip glosses. So I made a few orders.

I made 2 Ulta orders. I don’t really like ordering from Ulta because they never give you free samples like Sephora does. Unfortunately, Ulta is one of the only retailers that sells The Ordinary products. I picked up a few of those products in my first order. And then in the next one, it was all The Ordinary products. I really like the Azelaic Acid Suspension Cream as well as the serum foundation.

I ordered quite a few things from Amazon: a lighted mirror, an electric blanket, quite a few Korean skincare products, a huge thing of hair scrunchies, a clear mat for my desk chair, a karaoke mic, and some masks (as COVID isn’t going away). My husband and I also got a new king size bed (mattress and frame) and faux wedding rings for each other.

I also finally got my work desk as it was 20% off putting me under the $1k threshold (so I can expense it). I’m excited about this. I also purchased some more address labels from Vistaprint.

My Husband’s Purchases

My husband’s biggest purchase is probably his $1k laptop. And of course, he needed to buy all the accompanying items, like a wireless mouse and keyboard. He also picked up a SD card reader, a power bank, more charging cords, a new USB hub, some additional RAM for his laptop, some tools, garden hose and spray, cables and such for his outdoor cameras.

I also got him some clothes from his favorite brand because that’s just to kind of wife I am, lol.

We spent a lot more money than I wanted to but I’m pretty satisfied that we got some stuff we needed and some we just wanted. It has been a long time since the both of us spent money like this.
